Yes its hard to balance, though Blasters really need a Range boost since they are pretty useless with Optimal of 2800 and thats with "normal" ammo! Same with 425s they need some damage, tracking and range boost. they should NOT be on par with Thacyons, but similar to Mega Beams. (thats my humble opinion)

Well i cant see any noticeable difference, exept you hit some more at closer ranges, but thats it. And it get more hits with Tracking Comp on. Damage ranges from 2 to around 160, with rare strikes at 200+

Edited by: Raven DeBlade on 09/11/2003 22:41:04 Blasters are still quite useless, lots of misses, it seems the "window of opportunity" is pretty slim, somewere around 12-14k below or above that they arebt doing much damage if they even hit. have killed 40+ ships and got 1 "Wrecking" hit at 500, thats it!

Yes i have to agree totally with Xeno, as it is now, why even use Hybrid since they do less damage of all weapons, use ammo AND Cap, and also have the biggest penalties for ranges vs damage on ammo! They should do more damage and have better ranges, due to the fact they use Cap and ammo. Who in their right mind would even make such a weapon, that takes the worst of 2 technologies and merges it into 1. They should take the best of 2 technologies and merge into 1 and have the penalties of Cap and ammo. Thats my opinion anyway

(off topic) i have to agree that MWDs gives an unfair disadvantage to ships wich depends on shields i.e Caldari, Gallente etc and alot less disadvantages to Amarr ships who relies on Armour. And since Amarr also have more cap this is even more unbalanced. But as he said its fixable with skills etc.

Good suggestion, I do not want to lessen the penality on the shield but I promise I'll have a look on cap penality and usage with the skill.
This should go for alot more skills/Modules as it is now anyone can be an "ECM expert" in 1h training since people dont need more than level 1 of most skills to be able to use modules etc. There is no reason to actually train above level 1 for most skills. Also make skills to have more bonuses for the last 2 levels i.e level 4 and especially at level 5 where and adidditional "bonus" should be added for example add an "extra" 2-3% at level 4 and maybe an extra 5% at level 5 on Large turret skills etc. As it is now its not worth training combat skills to level 5, the only skills that is worth the time is industrial/science skills.

Upping the damage and lowering the RoF... it still do the same ammount of damage. So what was the point?
